It has been a privilege for me to be the creator and host of the Spiritually Minded Women podcast for the past 5 years. I am now pursuing a new path and this podcast has ended. The podcast feed will still be available anywhere you listen to podcasts. I hope to pop into my Instagram page @spirituallymindedwomen from time to time but I will not actively be posting or sharing there. THANK YOU to all of my guests and listeners as you have made this journey something I will always treasure.

I understand because I've lived my past spiritual life
with only a checklist

I thought if I checked everything off my gospel checklist my life would be perfect.

I just had to do “all the things.” You know what they are:

  • Scripture study
  • Church attendance
  • Family home evening
  • Prayer
  • Temple attendance

I would have a solid relationship with Christ, know my purpose and never have any problems.

Then a major trial helped me to see I needed much more in my spiritual life than a checklist was giving me.

My family experienced some difficult challenges. I was perplexed why we were struggling when we were doing everything “right.”

 

This is when God really started to teach me.

 

Checking boxes wasn’t going to help me know the Savior, help others and become who God wanted me to be.

 

I sought for answers day in and day out and found a rich and connected spiritual life waiting for me beyond the checklist.

Now, I help other women find a spiritual life beyond the checklist that's focused on Christ and covenants.

After completely overhauling my spiritual life and learning what it really meant for me to have a relationship with the Savior, I felt prompted to start a podcast in March of 2018.

 

On my podcast, I started sharing my own story  and interviewing other women about their experiences too.

 

Today, I feel called to help Latter-day Saint women know there is so much waiting beyond the checklist. You have a unique journey on the covenant path. You were created by loving Heavenly Parents, not with a cookie cutter, but with an individual mission and purpose. God is a personal God and He wants to have a relationship with YOU!
